Hi,
I actually use it on OSX Tiger! I *think* there are some problems with Leopard.
But as said, with Tiger it should work.

Sincerely,
Reto Kaiser

Are there any problems using rMedia Touch with Mac OS 10.5.2 & iTunes 7.6.1?

I can\'t see the mouse pointer except sporadically at the extreme border of the window. I also see no album art.

I\'m looking for an iTunes front-end/replacement for a touch screen Mac Mini-based carputer. The screenshot of rMedia looks beautful, but I can\'t get it to work on my MacBook.

Since the carputer won\'t do any serious computing, it would be worth downgrading to Tiger/Panther/Jaguar/Cheetah/Puma and older iTunes software if that will make rMedia Touch play nicely.

Hi Christophe,
Unfortunately I have to tell you that this will not work Traurig
The problem is the way rMediaTouch communicates with iTunes. This is done over AppleScript, which is not available for windows. So I think you have to get a macmini anyway Zwinkern Zwinkern

However, I have no Mac, am only a PC/Windows XP user (yes, i know, bad bad boy!!...). As your application is in Java it should also work on Windows, right ?. I have tried to convert your .dmg into something comprehensible to dumb Windows, without success.
Would you have a .zip version of your files, which I could use on Win ?. Thanks for your assistance and congrats for your work !.

Bye from Brussels. Christophe

Hi!

I just made a little \"quit\"-button for you. it\'s not beautiful - but it works..
Besides Apple changed some iTunes-Library-Stuff so I had to change something in the XML-Parsing. The XML-DTD is now on my webspace: http://www.within.ch/files/PropertyList-1.0.dtd. The program gets this everytime it starts up.
This is no spyware thing or so.. Lächeln Just didn\'t find a cuter way..

Hallo pixXer!
Wo hängt das Programm sich auf?
Vielleicht bekommst du auch eine Fehlermeldung, wenn du es per Kommandozeile mit folgendem Befehl startest:

/Applications/rMediaTouch.app/Contents/MacOS/rMediaTouch

Grüsse reto

Hi...

Hi Reto
Very nice app!! Just what I was looking for! Some problems, when starting up, sometimes freezing, as already known. I would appreciate very much an integrated button to quit the app, since I\'d like to use the attached mac mini for other tasks without hardresetting. you undoubtedly come from Basel, which is a nice city. Although for non-locals it would be very nice to have another function on that button there..Do you think you could integrate a quit-function for the program, would be of great help!
thank you for your work already done.

Hi BK,
Thanks for your feedback! What do you mean with the freezing problem? Does it freeze while starting up, when it loads the albumcovers, or when it is running and you are browsing your library?
\"Jukebox like playlist\" - Do you mean something like the \"Partyshuffle\" in iTunes? A playlist where you can add entries and move them around?
It needs an internet connection at startup to read the iTunes-XML-library, which has its documenttype-definition on apple.com.. I\'ll have a look so I can do this locally.
greets reto

It needs some work but it\'s a good start. It has a LOT of trouble with large collections. It freezes several times around 1033 album covers the first few times but eventually gets it. Why does it have to connect to the internet before it will work? Are you planning on a jukebox style playlist? My touchscreen thanks you.

sweet, seemed to balk on a album that had no art... odd, fixed that now, nice little app... need a touch screen now :-)

reto schrieb am 20.02.06 um 03:04
To quit the application at any state you should be able to just hit Apple+Q. Or if it hangs try Apple+alt+Esc

Yeah, nice. But, don\'t go full screen like that with out warning, and give me a way to drop out of full screen while it loads my album art... I have a LOT of album art it hung on loading number 542,... I had to hard reset my powerbook... not good. But yeah, great potential. Nice work (from the screen shots at least)
